The Thermo-Informational Unification Model : Formalization of a Tripartite Topology and Derivation of Mass by Informational Sacrifice.

Abstract

The attempt to unify quantum mechanics and general relativity remains constrained by the implicit assumption of an exclusively bottom-up causality. This work proposes an alternative architecture based on a closed tripartite topology S=S0+S1+S2 governed by top-down causation. Matter is defined not as a primary substance supporting information, but as the confined and structured residue of a thermodynamic sacrifice of quantum alternatives under global constraint. The confinement of Landauer energy is derived from an effective variational Lagrangian L_int=lambda(x)S_local(x) with entropy density regularized at the Planck scale. Mass emerges self-consistently as m=m_P sqrt(ln2/2pi N_eff alpha) with a hierarchy parameter alpha≈1.5e-45 established for the electron. The Born rule P=|Psi|^2 is obtained as a statistical limit of the Fisher-Tippett-Gnedenko extreme value theorem for Gumbel-type horizon noise with N_S2∼1e122 degrees of freedom (Bekenstein-Hawking bound). Three empirical falsification criteria are established: statistical deviation ΔP≈1/sqrt(ln N_eff) ∼1e-3 to 1e-5 testable on an ultra-isolated superconducting qubit at 10mK, bound on the effective field gradient ∇lambda via Eöt-Wash tests, and mass dependence on topological acceleration m^2∝N_eff a.
