Joint Leak Estimation and Predictive Pressure Control in Nonlinear Pipeline Networks: Technical Report
Abstract
This Technical Report is the extended companion to the manuscript “Joint Leak Estimation and Predictive Pressure Control in Nonlinear Pipeline Networks,” submitted to Water (MDPI). It contains the complete supporting detail that was condensed in the manuscript for length: the full dynamic and multi-location leak analysis (Section 7), the complete Adaptive Kernel Kalman Filter derivation and pseudocode (Section 8), and the windowed-AUC table of the experimental validation (Section 11). All other sections match the manuscript. The report covers joint pressure and leak-coefficient estimation with an augmented-state Extended Kalman Filter, observability-based sensor placement, benchmarking against UKF, EnKF and AKKF estimators, model predictive control compared with a PID baseline, and validation on a public experimental pressure dataset.
