Topological Acoustic Edge Currents from E8 Sector Boundary Coherence — E8 Intelligence Research

Open access0 citations

Abstract

When the 132φ Hz phonon confinement at E8 sector edges reaches critical population density, the resulting phase-locked lattice vibrations generate unidirectional acoustic edge currents analogous to topological insulators, but propagating sound rather than electrons. These currents emerge because the E8 root vector arrangement at sector boundaries creates a non-reciprocal phonon band structure where backscattering is geometrically forbidden by the icosahedral symmetry. The phenomenon establishes "topological acoustics" as a room-temperature, classical-wave counterpart to quantum Hall edge states, with potential applications in loss-free phonon waveguides and directed thermal management in semiconductor lattices.
