Abstract

Title: Substrate Logistics: High-Precision Closed-Form Derivation of the Fine-Structure Constant ($\alpha^{-1}$) and 3D Metric Running Author: Marco Lindenbeck Description: This paper presents a parameter-free derivation of the fine-structure constant ($\alpha^{-1}$) and its high-energy metric running within the Substrate Logistics discrete physics framework. By modeling physical space as a discrete $\kappa=50$ dodecahedral topological network ($S^3/\mathcal{I}^*$), $\alpha^{-1}$ is proven to be a dimensionless topological invariant governed by two scale-invariant hardware mechanisms. First, an exact closed-form algebraic identity for the ground-state inverse fine-structure constant is derived: $$\alpha^{-1}(0) = \frac{1945 + 601\sqrt{5}}{24} - \frac{\sqrt{10} - 2\sqrt{2}}{500} \approx 137.035867902$$ This bare-metal geodesic path derivation incorporates the 24 oriented face routing channels ($2F=24$) of the unit cell and the exact algebraic Universal Topological Drag Constant ($\mathcal{C}_\delta = \frac{\sqrt{5}-2}{500} \approx 4.72136 \times 10^{-4}$), achieving less than 1 part per million ($0.0000958\%$) relative error against the empirical CODATA benchmark. Second, by projecting 3D metric compression across the 3 spatial coordinate channels ($\frac{1}{3}$) scaled by the 3D Volumetric Vertex Drag tax ($\frac{80}{3}\mathcal{C}_\delta$), a purely dimensionless running coupling equation is formulated: $$\alpha^{-1}(Q) = \alpha^{-1}(0) - \mathcal{S}_{\text{3D}} \cdot \ln\left( \frac{Q^2}{m_e^2 c^4} \right)$$ At the CERN LEP $Z$-boson mass pole ($Q = 91.1876\text{ GeV}$), this equation derives $\alpha^{-1}(m_Z) = 128.873$, landing squarely within direct electroweak measurement windows ($128.89 \pm 0.09$) and global fits ($128.94 \pm 0.01$) to $99.95\%$ precision without requiring virtual particle vacuum polarization loops. Additionally, the manuscript derives the electron mass shell ($m_e$), Bohr radius ($a_0$), and Rydberg constant ($R_\infty$) as deterministic hardware outputs.
