The Origin of Electric Field and Magnetic Field

Abstract

Classical Maxwell electromagnetic theory has dominated the electromagnetic discipline for nearly two hundred years. Its core conclusions that alternating electric and magnetic fields can self excite and propagate in vacuum without medium, and that light is electromagnetic wave contain fundamental physical fallacies. Based on basic physical rules of field and field source, this paper clarifies that the unique field source of electrostatic field is electric charge, and the unique field source of magnetic field is moving electric charge. By analyzing spatial symmetry structure and force range attenuation law of the two electromagnetic fields, this paper physically refutes the classical model that alternating electric field and alternating magnetic field can get rid of field sources for autonomous mutual excitation and infinite propagation in vacuum. This paper finally confirms that the essential nature of light is pure energy rather than electromagnetic wave, and corrects fundamental cognitive errors in classical electromagnetic theory.
