The Integrated Real Estate Technology Stack: Connecting ERP, CRM, Payments, Document Management and Management Intelligence

Open access0 citations

Abstract

The real estate and construction industry increasingly depends on multiple digital systems to manage projects, customer relationships, financial transactions, documentation and management reporting. However, when these systems operate in silos, organisations face fragmented information, duplicated data, manual reconciliation, limited visibility and delays in decision-making. This paper presents an integrated real estate technology stack connecting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), payment systems, Document Management Systems (DMS), workflow automation and management intelligence. It examines the role of each layer, the information flows between systems, and the governance mechanisms required to support reliable and consistent business operations. The paper proposes a conceptual integration framework centred on common data definitions, controlled interfaces, transaction traceability, document and payment reconciliation, role-based access, audit trails and management dashboards. It also discusses implementation considerations, operational risks, data governance requirements and a phased roadmap for organisations seeking to improve digital integration. The framework is intended to support business and technology leaders in evaluating integration priorities and strengthening operational control. It is a conceptual, practice-oriented framework rather than an empirical study; the proposed model requires validation against individual organisational contexts and implementation outcomes.
