Qubit Tethers, Higgs Surface Tension, and Mechanical Wave-Function Collapse (paper3 ver 1)

Open access0 citations

Abstract

Standard quantum mechanics relies on probabilistic postulates and observer-dependent interpretations to explain wave-function collapse. This paper establishes the micro-mechanical foundation of the Trans-Brane Equilibrium Model, unifying particle inertia with the bulk string tension derived in Paper 2. Rest mass is derived mechanically as tether drag across the 246 GeV Higgs vacuum expectation value. By substituting mechanical tether tension into relativistic energy, we derive a fundamental equivalence: a particle's rest-mass energy is exactly equal to its microscopic Nambu-Goto string tension multiplied by the length of its trans-dimensional tether traversing the bulk. Wave-function collapse is resolved as a deterministic, non-linear "snap-through" mechanical instability. Bell inequality constraints are satisfied without superluminal 4D signaling, as entangled tethers connect non-locally through the 5D ER=EPR bulk coordinate. Furthermore, this framework refutes Everett's Many-Worlds Interpretation, as quantum observations merely propagate kinetic tension through the pre-existing multiversal tether network rather than generating new spacetime topologies.
