The Shadow Sun: Beyond the Blindness of Intensity — A Multi-Spacecraft Search with Direction-Resolved Gamma Rays
Abstract
What if the universe carries directional information that intensity measurements alone cannot resolve? This research investigates a fundamental observational problem within Six-Throat Directed Geometry: whether a predicted parallel stellar counterpart, the Shadow Sun, can be approached through physically measurable directional information rather than unresolved radiation intensity. The study develops a multi-spacecraft gamma-ray observational framework built upon two independent components: the Road, representing constrained photon-source and transport information, and the Compass, representing a physically calibrated directional measurement. The investigation analyzes 149 IPN/Fermi gamma-ray events and 249 localization annuli, establishing 69 independently documented physical timing-pair identities under strict evidence criteria. A corrected scan of 10,890 terminal-worldtube configurations examines the limitations of terminal first-encounter geometry and the necessity of distinguishing terminal projections from complete directed photon histories. An independent Fermi-LAT calibration using the Vela pulsar provides a substantial experimental result. From 1,152,419 selected events, 319,800 satisfy the prescribed geometric support conditions. Across 36 independently evaluated measurement cells, all directional coefficients are positive, with 34 reaching or exceeding the five-standard-error significance threshold. The central scientific contribution is the construction and quantitative validation of a measurement architecture that separates spacecraft geometry, source provenance, photon transport information, and instrumental directional response without circular inference. This framework advances the investigation of direction-resolved counterpart observability while preserving the distinction between a calibrated physical compass and the astronomical identification of the predicted source. The accompanying reproducibility package provides computational implementations, observational provenance records, numerical verification results, and integrity checks for independent examination.
