Somatic Agency and the Neuro-Evolutionary Signal of the V-Taper: A Bio-Psychological Model of Low-Load Mechanical Tension, Stoic Self-Governance, and Intersexual Evaluation Dynamics

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This paper establishes a unified interdisciplinary model linking low-load mechanical resistance training, somatic executive control, evolutionary signal honesty, and intersexual selection dynamics. We challenge the conventional exercise science focus on high-axial fatigue loads by demonstrating that low-load mechanical tension taken to motor unit failure optimizes neuromuscular signaling without inducing systemic central nervous system fatigue. We integrate this biomechanical efficiency with Evolutionary Signal Theory, proposing that the male V-taper physique (deltoid-to-waist ratio under 10–12% adipose tissue) serves as a dual biological receipt: communicating both androgenic motor capacity and executive prefrontal self-governance. Finally, we model the psychological transition from an outcome-dependent suitor (Prover) to an autonomous evaluator (Sovereign Chooser), positioning somatic mastery as a closed-loop vehicle for existential agency in contemporary society.
