Less Care, More Respect: Low Concern About Social Evaluation Signals Competence
Open access0 citations
Abstract
This project examines how concern about social evaluation shapes interpersonal impressions. Across two preregistered studies, we tested whether appearing less concerned about social evaluation increases perceived competence and respect, and whether this effect generalizes to indifference toward financial loss. This OSF project contains the study materials (questionnaires) and data files with embedded analysis code associated with the research.
