Abstract

Abstract We present a genome assembly from an individual Agriotes lineatus (Lined Click Beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Elateridae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 2,590.71 megabases and 2,557.49 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (87.5%) was scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.27 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. Species taxonomy Eukaryota; Opisthokonta; Metazoa; Eumetazoa; Bilateria; Protostomia; Ecdysozoa; Panarthropoda; Arthropoda; Mandibulata; Pancrustacea; Altocrustacea; Allotriocarida; Hexapoda; Insecta; Dicondylia; Pterygota; Neoptera; Eumetabola; Endopterygota; Aparaglossata; Neuropteroidea; Coleoptera; Polyphaga; Elateriformia; Elateroidea; Elateridae; Elaterinae; Agriotes ; Agriotes lineatus (Linnaeus, 1767) (NCBI:txid292458)
