The Pattern of the Manager as a Coach: A Meta-Synthesis

Abstract

The aim of this research is to propose a conceptual framework of the manager as a coach, extracted from the existing literature by using a meta-synthesis method. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis through Maxqda 2020 software. As a result, 13 main categories and three main themes were classified. The main themes include: the necessary infrastructure for implementing the manager's role as a coach in organizations, the skills required to fulfill this role, and the consequences of implementing the manager as a coach in organizations. The model can serve as a valuable resource for developing policies and training programs in the area of the manager as a coach, equipping organizations in facing the challenges of complex and changing environments.
