MediCare: A Web-Based 3-Tier Telemedicine & Hospital Management Platform

Abstract

MediCare is an integrated, web-based 3-tier hospital management and telemedicine platform engineered to reduce outpatient department (OPD) congestion and improve healthcare accessibility in resource-constrained regions. The system provides a unified digital workflow supporting multi-role interactions across Patients, Doctors, and System Administrators. Key functional capabilities include real-time browser-based video consultations implemented via WebRTC, automated digital prescription handling, role-based access control (RBAC), and localized mobile payment verification supporting EasyPaisa and JazzCash gateways. Developed as a undergraduate thesis project affiliated with the University of Peshawar, this repository contains the full application source code, system configuration files, and database schema supporting the pre-print research paper.
