Abstract

Abstract A new synthetic strategy for the diastereo- and regioselective construction of furano-fused piperidine and piperidinone scaffolds is described. The method proceeds via a rhodium-catalyzed intramolecular carbonyl ylide cycloaddition between readily accessible N-allylated amino aldehydes and diallyl diazo compounds.
