Economic Resiliency and its Breaking Points

0 citations

Abstract

This paper identifies why the current stage of capitalism, despite a proneness to financial instability and wealth concentration, has been resilient for 46 years. Political-economic vulnerabilities to resiliency are identified. The paper argues that a breaking point stems directly from the current era’s economic structure or from policymakers’ efforts to reverse historically grounded policy action and supportive institutions upon which capitalism depends.
