The R2R Triad Stack: A Volumetric Holographic Photonic-Quantum Interconnect for Hyperscale Transduction

Open access0 citations

Abstract

The scaling of cryogenic quantum processors is critically bottlenecked by the "wiring wall"—the thermodynamic and spatial limits of routing thousands of physical microwave control lines into the millikelvin (mK) environment. Furthermore, networking disparate quantum processors requires Microwave-to-Optical Quantum Transducers (MOQT), which currently suffer from catastrophic signal loss and photon scattering due to localized thermal heating and discrete optomechanical components. This paper introduces the Roll-to-Roll (R2R) Triad Stack: a volumetric, solid-state interconnect architecture. By integrating 2D Transition Metal Dichalcogenide (TMD) strata with epitaxial Barium Titanate BaTiO₃ non-linear transducers via continuous web deposition, the system achieves prime-form d=2 → 3 Hilbert space partitioning. Addressed entirely via Zero-Fiber free-space holographic beam steering and shielded by a U-DBD plasma acoustic boundary, this architecture enables high-bandwidth, scattering-free quantum state routing at 300K, establishing a scalable bridge between classical optical networks and legacy cryogenic quantum hardware.
