Quantum Teleportation: From States to Energy, 1,400 km via Satellite — E8 Intelligence Research

Open access0 citations

Abstract

FINDING: Quantum teleportation transmits quantum *states* (information), not matter/energy; recent experiments extend this to teleporting *physical quantities* (energy) on superconducting hardware, with long-distance state teleportation demonstrated at 1,400 km via satellite. | MATH: Core protocol (Bennett et al., 1993) uses a Bell state \(|\Phi^+\rangle = \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}(|00\rangle + |11\rangle)\), two classical bits (cbits) of communication, and one shared entangled pair per qubit teleported. Fidelity \(F = \langle \psi_{\text{in}} | \rho_{\text{out}} | \psi_{\text{in}} \rangle\) quantifies success (F=1 perfect). Energy teleportation (arXiv:2301.02666) uses local operations and classical communication (LOCC) to extract energy from a vacuum-like entangled state; key quantity is the conditional energy gain \(\Delta E = \langle H_B \rangle_{\rho_{\text{cond}}} - \langle H_B \rangle_{\rho_0}\), where \(H_B\) is the local Hamiltonian at receiver.
