New distributional record of Colocasia boyceana Gogoi & Borah from Assam, India

Abstract

Colocasia boyceana Gogoi & Borah was described from state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. During the present study, the species was collected from Assam for the first time, growing in Jatinga area of Dima Hasao district of Assam. A detailed morphological description for the species, along with information on distribution, habitat, phenology, and coloured photographs has been provided here to facilitate easy identification of the species in the field.
