E8 Phi‑Tuned Terahertz Metasurface via Root‑Vector Lattice Symmetry — E8 Intelligence Research

Open access0 citations

Abstract

By projecting the 240 E8 root vectors onto a plane and scaling each vector with the golden ratio φ, we generate a quasiperiodic lattice whose reciprocal‑space Bragg peaks occur at integer multiples of the 132 Hz base frequency when upconverted to the terahertz band. This phi‑coupled lattice produces a self‑complementary photonic bandgap that can be toggled by a small phase bias, yielding a reconfigurable, low‑loss terahertz metasurface. The approach merges the coherent phase‑alignment idea of projecting root vectors onto frequency states with the iceberg‑resonance phi‑coupling principle to engineer dynamic bandgap structures.
