The Unreferenced Whole: An Exteriorless Completion Hypothesis v2.1
Abstract
This preprint presents Version 2.1 of The Unreferenced Whole, a foundational cosmological hypothesis within the Generative Structure Theory research program. The model proposes Order Prohibition: no fundamental ordering relation can exist at the cosmological foundation. From this follows the non-fundamentality of before and after, succession, simultaneity, axis, and absolute externality. The cosmological foundation is operationally designated as the Unreferenced Whole, U. The term is not intended as an exhaustive representation of the foundation itself, since naming and linguistic description already presuppose distinction, reference, meaning, and order. Through complete internal reference, the Whole yields Complete Referential Balance: B ∘ R_C(U) = 0. Version 2.1 further introduces an emergent relation among position, structure, and meaning. Position and structure are not treated as fundamental givens; they become definable within complete internal reference, while meaning emerges from their relational composition: M = μ(P,S), or conceptually: Position × Structure → Meaning. Local differentiation of position, structure, and meaning is therefore compatible with complete referential balance at the level of the Whole.
