GOVERNANCE IN THE DIRECT PARTICIPATORY POLITICAL SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT This paper explores the mechanics and administrative architecture of governance within the direct participatory political system. Responding to contemporary debates on grassroots autonomy, decentralized local governance, and intra-party democratic integrity across diverse global contexts—ranging from local government reforms to transnational democratic innovations—this study establishes how administrative power can be effectively decentralized without falling into the traps of bureaucratic ossification. By examining the integration of structural mechanisms such as popular consultations, public forums, and sortition (elección popular al azar), this research demonstrates how public administration achieves maximal transparency, accountability, and citizen-led governance.
