DC-NO.EG Second-Order Meta-Engineering Metaphilosophy Meta-Grammar and Registration Framework for Engineering

Abstract

Engineering has long taken the philosophy of science as its sole epistemological reference, leaving its knowledge validity, measurement remainder, normative legislation and inter-temporal responsibility without an independent second-order formulation. Building on measurement constructivism, incommensurability of horizons, self-reference termination and position dependence, and addressed to all 45 first-level disciplines of the engineering category, this document constructs a second-order meta-engineering metaphilosophy (DC-NO.EG). Its core theses are: engineering possesses a second ontology co-ordinate with, not subordinate to, science, whose criterion of validity is the achievement of functional consequences within stipulated boundaries rather than truth-correspondence; engineering measurement and modelling do not eliminate remainder but make it migrate — one-way within a layer and spirally across layers — among the four classes numerical, structural, framework and ethical, and price it as inter-temporal safety debt; and standards and codes are, over and above their being technical documents and co-ordination devices, irreversible sealing and legislative devices. The document sets out 13 axioms (G-A1–G-A13), 5 meta-architectures, 28 paradigmatic theorems, 47 S-numbers (of which 39 are independent S items), 50 falsification paths and 23 open items, and covers the anchoring–remainder–position map of the 45 disciplines. This is a working paper. Originality is claimed at four levels — core formulation, architecture, gearing, and operable system; no prior construction standing in a relation of inheritance can be marked. All position labels are internal to the system; no proposition has been formally proved or independently verified. Validation competence belongs to the outside; n = 0.
