This poster illustrates the evolution of the pilot project "Rent a Data Steward" (2023–2026) of the Thuringian Competence Network for Research Data Management and reflects on its learnings, achievements and limitations. It will be presented at the Fellowship of the Data 2026 and Data Stewardship goes Germany 2026 conferences.
