The Elemental Reason: Scientific Evidence from Measurement and the Photon Boundary Test

Abstract

Case 0 examines a fundamental boundary of the physical universe: the consequences of the global elimination of the photon as the quantum of the electromagnetic field and as the carrier of electromagnetic interaction. The premise posits the elimination of the photon throughout the universe and analyzes the consequences through established physical knowledge. The photon is classified as an elementary particle and the carrier of electromagnetic interaction, while the binding of electrons to nuclei depends on this interaction [1, 2]. Its elimination, as defined in Case 0, removes electromagnetic mediation. The electronic structures of atoms lose the physical condition of their binding; molecular bonds, chemical processes, and biological organization lose their physical basis. The atomic, chemical, and biological universe is annulled in its known configuration. Any physical state that might remain beyond this boundary is left undetermined by the present analysis. The study proceeds with an analysis of the structure of scientific measurement and a corpus of twenty cases drawn from quantum, particle, nuclear, atomic, molecular, material, biological, technological, and cosmic regimes. The data consist of measurements, experimental results, and standards published by authoritative scientific sources. Each case identifies the measured object, the interaction that produces the signal, the registered result, the physical organization that makes that result distinguishable, and the limit of the conclusion. The analysis determines that every measured entity and process presents as Coherence, Interaction, and Complexity in configuration. Coherence produces distinguishable identity, Interaction produces physical relation and signal, and Complexity produces the organization of the configuration and the result. The relation is formalized as: E = C × I × K ≠ 0 where E represents the existence of the configuration. Measurement evidence registers operative configurations of C-I-K. A substrate separate from these Three Constitutive Forces presents no identity, interaction, organization, or measurable result. Scientific measurement is the quantitative articulation of physical ontology: Measurement = Ontology.
