Abstract

Inspired by her father's photographs of sunsets, a first-generation medical student reflects on the lessons her immigrant parents taught her about hope, sacrifice, and opportunity. What once appeared to be simple family moments became a deeper understanding of gratitude and perspective, shaping not only her journey through medical school but also the physician she aspires to become.
