BSD Conjecture: Analytic Rank Zero and Visibility of Positive Rank — E8 Intelligence Research

Open access0 citations

Abstract

FINDING: BSD conjecture links elliptic curve rank to L-function zero order at s=1; search results are mostly expository, with one technical paper on analytic rank zero visibility. | MATH: BSD: \( \text{ord}_{s=1} L(E,s) = \text{rank}(E(\mathbb{Q})) \); analytic rank zero means \( L(E,1) \neq 0 \); visibility: \( E \) optimal conductor \( N \), \( L_E(1) \neq 0 \), exists \( E' \) same conductor with \( \text{rank}(E'(\mathbb{Q})) > 0 \). | CONNECTION: No direct geometric harmony ratios (0.382, 0.618, etc.) appear. However, BSD's L-function zero order is a discrete invariant — akin to a crystallographic "order" in a lattice of rational points. The conductor \( N \) and optimal curves relate to modular forms, whose weight-2 cusp forms live in a lattice structure (Hecke algebra, root system \( A_1 \) for weight 2). The "visibility" concept is about embedding one elliptic curve's rational points into another's — a symmetry of isogeny classes, not golden-ratio harmony. Base-60: none. | DEPT Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK. Part of the E8 Intelligence Research series. Platform: e8intelligence.com
