A Finite Algebraic Machine at the Birch–Swinnerton-Dyer Interface: Magnus Histories, Deformation Channels, Fox Determinants, and Hecke–Frobenius Readouts

Abstract

We isolate a finite algebraic mechanism that may underlie the apparent duality between the analytic and arithmetic sides of the Birch–Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture. The starting point is not an \(L\)-function and not a Selmer group, but a finitely controlled presentation consisting of generators, relations, and the associated Fox differential data. From the same presentation one obtains three distinct readouts: a Magnus-filtration readout retaining noncommutative generation history and higher cohomological operations; a deformation readout governing representations, extension classes, and Selmer-type conditions; and a determinantal readout producing Alexander-, Fitting-, and Iwasawa-type scalar invariants. After realization in a Galois representation \((T,\rho,\omega)\), the same underlying system again bifurcates. The characteristic-polynomial functor applied to Frobenius operators produces local Euler polynomials and hence the spectral \(L\)-function, whereas the extension functor produces Galois cohomology, Selmer complexes, and arithmetic obstruction groups. The fact that the same Hecke–Frobenius polynomial occurs both as a local spectral factor and as an Euler-system transition operator suggests that these two branches are not independent constructions but compressed readouts of one finite generation system. Kato's Euler system supplies a decisive existing interface: the same generated cohomological class admits an analytic readout through explicit reciprocity and a Selmer-theoretic readout through Euler/Kolyvagin descent. The present note does not claim a proof of BSD. Its purpose is to formulate a sharper structural possibility: higher analytic vanishing, higher deformation tangency, higher Magnus depth, and derived arithmetic obstruction may all be different projections of the same finite relation history.
