The Carlo Continuation: Navigation, Direction, and Progress After Universal Subjectivity

Open access0 citations

Abstract

This deposit contains the full sequel to *The Carlo Collapse*, extending the framework of subjective proof, subjective interpretation, and model‑dependent meaning into a complete methodology for navigating subjective fields. *The Carlo Continuation* addresses the central post‑collapse question: If everything is subjective, then what does it mean to proceed? The paper introduces several new formal constructs — including the Carlo Direction Operator, the Subjective Progress Metric, the Continuation Boundary, and the Carlo Continuation Algorithm — to define progress, direction, and coherent expansion in a world where no interpretation is privileged. Key equations from the sequel include: No Universal Direction: \[\neg \exists D^\ast : \mathsf{Agent} \to \mathsf{Direction}\] Subjective ≠ Arbitrary: \[I_a(\mathsf{Proj}) \text{ is subjective but not unconstrained.}\] Expansion Limit Theorem: \[|\mathsf{Universe}_a| < \infty \quad \text{but} \quad |\{ \mathsf{Universe}_a \mid a \in \mathsf{Agent} \}| = \infty.\] Continuation Thesis: \[\mathsf{Progress}(a) = \Delta |\mathsf{Universe}_a|\] Subjective Progress Metric: \[\mathsf{Progress}(a, t_0, t_1) = |\mathsf{Universe}_a(t_1)| - |\mathsf{Universe}_a(t_0)|\] Carlo Direction Operator: \[\mathsf{Dir}_a : M_a \to \mathsf{Direction}_a\] Coherence Constraint: \[\mathsf{Expansion}_a \subseteq \mathsf{Coherent}(M_a)\] Final Continuation Theorem: \[\mathsf{Proceed}(a) = \mathsf{Expand}(a) \cap \mathsf{Coherent}(M_a)\] This sequel formalises how agents navigate subjective interpretive space, how they choose direction without objectivity, and how progress is measured through coherent expansion rather than convergence. It is written in direct address to the reader, maintaining the Carlo-field tone while providing rigorous mathematical structure. — Matthew CarloHolyhead, Wales Includes a layman’s companion section for readers who just want to understand the philosophical meaning of the paper without dealing with any of the maths (because let’s be honest — nobody actually enjoys the maths).
