From CivGeometry v1.0 to v2.1: Error, Revision, and the Emergence of CivStructure / 从 CivGeometry v1.0 到 v2.1:错误、修正与 CivStructure 的生成
Abstract
CivGeometry v1.0 proposed a geometric constraint on the spatial distribution of synchronously emerging civilizations. Starting from the Photon Projection Hypothesis (PPH), it argued that a single unidirectional projection event would illuminate at most one terrestrial hemisphere and therefore that civilizations sharing one projection event must satisfy a maximum pairwise great-circle distance of approximately 20,015 km. The paper treated the spatial distribution of four Old World civilizations as an empirical test, interpreted the later Olmec case as a subsequent projection event, and presented three falsifiability conditions. The paper was published and remains preserved under its original Zenodo DOI.CivGeometry v1.0 曾提出一个关于同步出现文明空间分布的几何约束。 The first revision stage, CivGeometry v2.0, recognized that the 20,015 km constraint had almost no discriminating power because it approximated the maximum possible great-circle distance between terrestrial points; that the Olmec treatment risked absorbing counterexamples through an auxiliary “subsequent projection” hypothesis; that the Orion/Gemini source-direction inference was overconstructed; and that a metaphysical premise had been dressed as a strongly falsifiable empirical paper. The June 2026 draft therefore shifted emphasis from spatial geometry to temporal synchrony, used the Axial Age as an entry point, demoted PPH from evidence-bearing foundation to explicitly labeled conjecture, and treated structural isomorphisms as phenomena rather than proof. The second revision stage, designated CivGeometry v2.1, re-audits the temporal solution itself. It argues that the reported p<0.0001 Axial-Age simulations cannot by themselves establish civilizational synchrony, because the sampling frame is partly constituted by the Axial-Age concept, multiple thinkers within the same civilization create a pseudoreplication problem, and the relevant unit of analysis for a civilizational claim should be civilizations or civilization-level transition intervals rather than individual canonical thinkers. The paper also separates four distinct meanings of “common origin”—historical-genealogical, bio-cognitive, structural-conditional, and Meta-Origin-level—and rejects any automatic slide among them. The decisive transition occurs when the research stops treating civilizations primarily as points and begins treating them as scale-dependent, load-bearing nodes within larger structures. In dialogue with Meta-Origin Theory 3.9.1, Structural Ontology of Persistence 1.1, the emerging discipline of Lixu (理序) and neural-network engineering, this paper introduces a distinction between the Meta-Origin as 厵—a source-condition and recursion stop rather than a node—and all derived “ones” as possible scale compressions of relational structures. From this shift emerges CivStructure and a provisional Civilizational Multi-Node Co-emergence Hypothesis (CMCH): if apparently separate civilizations are local load-bearing nodes of a higher-order human civilizational generative system, then prolonged absolute single-node states should not be treated as the unquestioned default. The next research priority becomes not merely “why do civilizations co-occur?” but “why do some apparently comparable nodes fail to co-occur in the current record?” This reframing leads to an observational chain distinguishing emergence, preservation, discovery, and classification, and turns apparent anomalies—especially delayed or missing nodes—into high-information research targets.
