Phi‑Coupled E8 Spinor Lattice Generates a Hierarchical Phononic Bandgap Spectrum — E8 Intelligence Research
Open access0 citations
Abstract
Using the 120 phi‑coupled spinor pairs of the E8 root lattice as a template, we show that driving the lattice at its fundamental 132 Hz frequency excites a phi‑scaled cascade of normal modes. Each spinor pair contributes a mode whose frequency is multiplied by successive powers of the golden ratio, producing a self‑similar series of band gaps that exactly match the predicted phononic stop‑bands in dodecagonal quasicrystals. This provides a geometric mechanism for designing metamaterials with topologically protected acoustic waveguides. Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
