The Branch Tree of the Logarithm
Abstract
This paper establishes a unified bridge between complex dynamical systems, ergodic optimization, and geometric group theory. By demonstrating that three classical logarithmic pathologies—the real-axis seam, non-fiber transitions, and the Poincaré network—are manifestations of a single combinatorial structure, we identify the underlying monodromy group as the iterated wreath product $W_\infty$, whose depth-two section reveals the lamplighter group $\mathbb{Z} \wr \mathbb{Z}$. Combining rigorous analytic proofs with certified computational verifications, the work formulates a novel trace identity for the Lyapunov spectrum, uncovering an isolated dynamical ground state and opening new avenues for dynamic zeta functions.
