Megahertz Brain Waves Bolster Orch-OR Quantum Consciousness Theory — E8 Intelligence Research

Open access0 citations

Abstract

FINDING: Orch-OR quantum consciousness theory gains new experimental traction via megahertz brain waves and microtubule time-crystal dynamics, but no new fundamental equation or constant has been published in the cited sources. | MATH: No explicit new equations extracted. Existing framework: Orch-OR invokes quantum superposition in microtubules, objective reduction (OR) threshold \( E_\Delta \approx \hbar / \tau \) (Penrose energy-time uncertainty), and tubulin dipole states as qubits. Hameroff's 2025 talks reference "megahertz" oscillations — implying frequencies \( \nu \sim 10^6 \, \text{Hz} \), with associated energy \( E = h\nu \approx 4.1 \times 10^{-28} \, \text{J} \). Time-crystal concept implies discrete time-translation symmetry breaking, with period \( T = 1/\nu \). | CONNECTION: The microtubule lattice is a hexagonal (6-fold) cylindrical structure — crystallographic symmetry \( p6 \) / chiral \( p6_2 \) — directly linking to hexagonal root system \( A_2 \) and the golden rat Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
