Preregistration: null distributions across a family of time windows — CHRONOS, track A

Abstract

Preregistration of an examination of the combination step in J. Ellis,R. Konoplich, N. E. Mavromatos, A. S. Nguyen, A. S. Sakharov andE. K. Sarkisyan-Grinbaum, Phys. Rev. D 99, 083009 (2019). Criteria,thresholds, random seeds and controls were fixed before any computation. This version replaces the bounded estimator grid by an exact solution:the weighted moments are polynomials in the compensation parameter, sothe maximum of the kurtosis is a root of a fifth-degree polynomial. Thecriterion moves from a fixed chi-squared threshold to the empirical nulldistribution of chi-squared itself. Deposited in German and English; the German file is the binding record.
