Abstract

Internet-Draft draft-dogru-cedulon-decision-profile-03, Cedulon Decision Profile: Reconciling an Agent's Decisions Against Its Effects, as posted to the IETF Datatracker on 6 September 2026 (submission 168695), with its XML source and the Markdown it was rendered from. The profile defines a second population on the Cedulon reconciler: a Decision Record is signed by the party that decided whether an agent may act, an Effect Extract is an authenticated list of the effects that occurred on a channel, an allow must be matched by exactly one effect whose content hash the record named, and a refusal by none. The finding this profile exists for, an effect that occurred under a reference a refusal names, is effect-against-refusal. This revision changes text only. It states one rule once, as Section 1.1, ahead of the places where it was learned: a state that exists in an implementation but never crosses the boundary to the party relying on it does not exist for that party, and a property the text does not state is a property the text does not have. The three places are named there, a second implementer's three-valued verdict that its caller still read as a boolean, two refusals the companion implementation held but never delivered, and the unordered clocks of Section 6.1 that a reader had to measure to find; Section 6.1 now points back to the rule.
