Reliability Control Chart for Time Truncated Quality Assurance Using Generalized Pareto Distribution

Abstract

ABSTRACT In this study, we propose an attribute control chart to develop a time truncated life test which is able to detect the number of defectives. The control chart parameters are designed to enhance under Average run length when it is follows a Generalized Pareto distribution. The suitable tables are generated to show case the values of the sample size, shape parameter, ARL and its shifts constant. These statistical measures are used to detect the out‐of‐control signal of the proposed control chart. To demonstrate the performance of the control chart a simulated data set is studied with its parameters for monitoring the reliability of the products are notified in manufacturing industries.
