[TI-2.04] The Structural-Topological Model for the Analysis of Glyphic Corpora: An Extension of the Object Taxonomy
Abstract
The structural-topological model for the analysis of glyphic corpora was formalized in [Yelistratov, 2026d]: a taxonomy of objects, two types of algorithms, and an iterative procedural framework with a self-enriching registry were defined. The second research cycle [Yelistratov, 2026f; 2026g; 2026h] applied the model to a new corpus — the set of signs on the end faces of Pakal's sarcophagus lid — and accumulated objects and operations absent from the original taxonomy. The present work extends the model with these objects (the structural graph in its cube and octagonal projective forms, the coefficient classes, connection sets and connection groups, the diad pair, the cycle-invariant) and operations (volume restoration, distribution of signs over connections, index substitution, completion of a missing element), introduces the Haab coefficient as a structural attribute of a sign, and adds two verification criteria — confirmation by repetition and structural correspondence to an external monument. The methodological framework is set out in full as the foundation of the model and a single source of reference.
