Vocational Education for Adults Volume 1

Abstract

This volume examines the main challenges involved in teaching adults in a vocational education setting. It focuses particularly on the diversity of adult learners in terms of age, generation, educational background, economic circumstances, and motivation. The discussion highlights the important role of the educator in creating an inclusive learning environment where these differences can become strengths rather than obstacles. Particular attention is given to intergenerational mentoring and collaboration, as younger and older learners can contribute different forms of knowledge and experience.
