Abstract

Here is the narration for the MERLIN SCIENCE video, revised to address the publisher's notes directly. --- Let's be clear about what this is and what it isn't. This is a speculative hypothesis, not a finding. I'm putting it forward for your evaluation, not as a result. The idea is this: the 240 root vectors of the E8 lattice might serve as discrete orientational states for spin-½ nuclei under specific, high-density conditions. That's the claim. Nothing more. Now, for context. Nuclear magnetic resonance is built on continuous precession and energy levels defined by the Zeeman interaction. That framework works. But in dense biological or crystalline lattices, we see anomalies in relaxation times and coherence transfer that the standard model explains only with added complexity. I'm suggesting a different geometric substrate for those anomalies. Specifically, that torsional spin-coupling could force the nuclear spin vector to lock onto discrete orientations, and that the set of those o Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
