Pangu's Cosmic Axe and its earthly counterpart

Abstract
The paper suggests that a bronze axe from the Xia dynasty, preserved at the Shanghai Museum, may represent the mythological axe with which Pangu breaks the cosmic egg to create Heaven and Earth.
