QBRT: A Predictive Theory of Dark Energy and the Cosmological Constant
Open access0 citations
Abstract
Quantum Background Radiation Theory (QBRT) proposes that the cosmological constant Λ arises from the zero-point energy of quantum vacuum fluctuations. Unlike the standard ΛCDM model which assumes a constant Λ, QBRT predicts a slow decay of dark energy density over cosmic time. This prediction aligns with recent DESI 2024 observations indicating an equation of state w ≠ -1. This paper presents the theoretical framework of QBRT, derives the key predictive equation ρ_QBRT(a) = ρ_0 · a(t)^-n, and compares its forecasts with current cosmological data.
