Abstract

This article examines the advantages and disadvantages of online education in the medical field. It discusses the impact of digital learning technologies on medical students' academic performance, clinical knowledge, and professional skill development. Online education provides flexibility, accessibility, and opportunities for self-directed learning while expanding access to educational resources. However, challenges such as limited hands-on clinical training, reduced face-to-face interaction, technological barriers, and difficulties in assessing practical competencies remain significant. The study concludes that combining online learning with traditional faceto-face instruction through a blended learning approach can improve the quality and effectiveness of medical education
