Abstract

When determining the level of medical decision-making (MDM) of an evaluation and management (E/M) service, a physician’s or other qualified health care professional’s (QHP’s) decision-making concerning prescription drug management is one option for determining the risk element of the MDM (ie, the risk of complications and/or morbidity or mortality associated with patient management).
