Abstract
Abstract Present paper deals with comparative study of algal biodiversity of polluted and non –polluted water bodies. Composition of algae was different in polluted and non-polluted water bodies. It was reported that Chlamydomona, Euglena, Oscillatoria, Chlorella, Navicula, Nitzschia etc. are dominant at polluted pond than non-polluted pond. These algal species are pollution tolerant algae
