Abstract

Abstract This bibliometric study investigates the research productivity and impact of Ph.D. theses awarded in the faculties of Commerce, Engineering, and Computer Science at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, Solapur, during the period 2010-2021. The study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the trends, patterns, and academic influence of doctoral research conducted over the past decade. Utilizing bibliometric tools, the research examines the year-wise distribution of theses, subject-wise categorization, authorship patterns. The study also identifies the most productive researchers, departments, and research areas, offering insights into the evolving academic landscape within these faculties. Findings reveal significant growth in research output, with certain subjects and supervisors contributing disproportionately to the body of knowledge. The citation analysis underscores the academic impact of these theses, highlighting key works that have influenced further research. This analysis serves as a valuable resource for understanding the dynamics of doctoral research at the university and provides recommendations for enhancing future research productivity and impact.
