A Case Study of Yuva Parivartan's Approach to Inclusive Skill Development

Abstract

Abstract This paper analyzes the effectiveness of Yuva Parivartan's model in reaching the "unreached" (youth educated only up to the 5th- 8th grade) and transitioning them into the organized workforce or self-employment. Yuva Parivartan is a transformative movement dedicated to national progress by empowering deprived youth. The organization focuses on bridging the gap between potential and opportunity through comprehensive skill development. Beyond just economic or academic needs, the organization recognizes that many youths lack "tacit skills"-the unspoken social and professional cues often missing in those from non-urban or uneducated backgrounds. Skill training is not treated in isolation. It is integrated with Life Skill Education to ensure that "trade skills" lead to actual employability and long-term economic growth. The movement actively implements National Skill Development Council (NSDC) courses and supports the "Skill India" agenda to create a sustainable ecosystem for India’s growing workforce. Yuva Parivartan operates as a collective effort, partnering with several key stakeholders to share the responsibility of nation-building Visionaries and Transformers, Corporate Partners and Benefactors and Government Bodies. Yuva Parivartan transforms youth from societal liabilities into valuable assets by providing a blend of vocational training, life skills, and social integration.
