Features of Human Interaction with Artificial Intelligence in Mechanical Engineering Production

0 citations

Abstract

The paper shows that using artificial intelligence in mechanical engineering covers the entire product life cycle, from conceptual design to maintaining the finished product. At a modern enterprise, artificial intelligence is involved at the stages of product design and development, during production process support, and in economic calculations aimed at optimizing logistics chains. It is substantiated that an applied production task of artificial intelligence is currently understood as maintaining the quality and reliability of the technological process, including the management of both tools and the actions of people involved in the production process. The paper identifies the ways of applying artificial intelligence in mechanical engineering production and defines the areas of personnel competence in the process of ergonomic support of developing and operating artificial intelligence systems at all stages of the life cycle. The authors conclude that productive interaction between human intelligence and artificial intelligence is possible in the mode of “hybrid intelligence.” New responsibilities of mechanical engineering specialists determined by the specifics of interaction with artificial intelligence are outlined.
