A Preregistration Template for Perturbation–Recovery Studies in Simulated Systems
Abstract
This record provides a preregistration template for perturbation–recovery studies in simulated systems: designs in which a system is subjected to a known disturbance and the question is whether it returns to a working range, and whether removing a component degrades that return. It states six requirements, each ruling out a specific and commonly made error: overlapping measurement windows counted as independent evidence, absence of evidence used as an acceptance criterion, an unvalidated sham condition, arbitrary thresholds, unstated power costs of conjunctive decision rules, and unbounded wording of conclusions. The record contains an English and a Hungarian edition of the rationale (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) and a fill-in declaration in both languages (CC BY 4.0). No results are reported. A rekord előregisztrációs sablont ad perturbációs–helyreállási vizsgálatokhoz szimulált rendszerekben. Hat módszertani követelményt fogalmaz meg, amelyek mindegyike egy konkrét, gyakran elkövetett hibát zár ki. Eredményt nem közöl.
