The Mine Planning and Survey Twin

Abstract

This paper studies plan conformance at the point where an approved design becomes work at a bench, stope or development heading. It joins design surfaces and schedules to survey control, as-built geometry, geotechnical and hydrogeological restrictions, drill-and-blast conditions, work passports and permit status. The proposed Twin tests whether the spatial envelope and current production state support the requested work; it does not approve excavation, blasting or alteration of an approved mine plan. MTR-02 formalises the transfer from plan and work package to Mine Execution and Production-State Release. The study evaluates whether independent survey and geotechnical checks expose datum error, volume or boundary deviation, breached exclusion zone or stale work authority before field execution. Scenario modelling may examine options, but only a named responsible person can authorise a revised work state.
