Bacteria capable of degrading 3,5-dichloroaniline

Open access0 citations

Abstract

In this study, soil samples were collected from greenhouse soils in Xizang that had been contaminated with certain fungicides. Enrichment cultivation was first carried out using LB medium, followed by selective pressure screening using a mixed medium composed of 5/6 mineral salts medium containing 3,5-dichloroaniline and 1/6 LB medium. After streak purification, multiple bacterial strains with stable 3,5-dichloroaniline-degrading capability were obtained. In subsequent degradation performance tests, the degradation efficiency and bacterial growth curves at different time intervals were dynamically monitored using GC-MS and a spectrophotometer, confirming that the strains possessed a certain degree of ability to degrade 3,5-dichloroaniline.
