A New Proof for The Banach–Zarecki Theorem

Abstract

We present a modern and transparent proof of the Banach–Zarecki theorem, characterizing absolute continuity via continuity, bounded variation, and the preservation of Lebesgue null sets, while avoiding cumbersome estimates and classical summation arguments.
